Donate Your Parking Spot For A Day

Businesses, organizations and community groups are partnering with The Salvation Army by providing space for donation trucks to park and receive donated merchandise on a designated day(s).  The Salvation Army will assist in promoting the event, which provides a convenient opportunity for employees, friends and associates to donate gently used clothing, household items and furniture.

The Salvation Army provides the trucks and/or trailers, posters and flyers, personnel and donation receipts.  When the event is concluded, the site is left clean and clear.

Donated goods are resold through The Salvation Army Family Stores and the revenue is used to fund the Adult Rehabilitation Center’s ministry of helping to heal broken lives.

To schedule your donation event, call  612-332-5855.

Doughnut Girl Coffee Launches Redesigned Website

The redesigned website features a "Prayer In Action" blog for supporters to share stories of help and hope, as well as an expanded coffee menu, which includes four Special Edition Holiday Blends and coffee selections from all over the world. New menu additions include Fair Trade Organic and Seasonal Selections as well as custom blends created exclusively for Doughnut Girl Coffee.

With a mission to "serve kindness in every cup," all of the profits from Doughnut Girl Coffee sales go to The Salvation Army, supporting its rehabilitation program and summer camp.

Doughnut Girl Coffee was created in honor of The Salvation Army Doughnut Girls of WWI. The women became famous for the donuts and coffee they served to the U.S. troops on the front lines while keeping prayer at the center of their mission. They prayed with soldiers in the trenches, and over the wounded and dying. The Doughnut Girl mission continues today through the work of a dedicated team of volunteers and supporters who extend their human touch to those in need of help and hope. The "Prayer In Action" blog shares these stories.
